Thank you Dr. Roberts and Sandy! I really like all my vets but I feel they are in a hard place also. What makes me sad is so many people can't afford to take their animal to the vets. So they try and help them another way or nothing at all. Heartbreaking.

I love this conversation. I have learned that my current dog intentionally came into this life with several conditions to be more "relatable" and mostly didn't want them fixed. Of the four conditions, we (my dog and I) have chosen to manage two of them, one was surgically corrected, and one healed itself (the vet ophthalmologist was stunned.) In fact, she (my dog) said she would have left (died on the table) had I decided to have surgery for one of the conditions.  I finally have a vet that allows my dog to pick out her own remedies and it works beautifully.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience Dr Roberts. This dialogue led me to think about animal-assisted therapy. As a human being, I do feel for my peers needing a "non medical" way to heal their deep traumas. i would like to know, Sandy & Dr Roberts, your perspective on the suffering that may be imposed upon those animals that are required to engage in this therapeutic process, unless, of course, their guardians did explain and have their animals' approval beforehand. i have no experience in this field, and would like to know if, indeed, some therapy animals did end up having medical/emotional etc issues, after absorbing so much traumatic energy from we humans who don't even live with them?  And if so, how to prevent that? Not asking always the same animals to take on the job? Reiki after their interactions?? Thank you++++

I let my girl go Monday, and she wasnt ready.  I couldnt cope with her decline emotionally or financially.  She deserved better and I can never forgive myself.  She was all I had and I let her down.

Jennifer, my heart breaks reading your comment. I hope you’ve had a chance to listen to the 3rd interview in this module with Lori Cowan. She has heard about this topic from so many of the animals she’s communicated with. I’m sending you so much grace and peace, dear one.

I personally get this but know Beloved you didn’t let her down at all. You loved her and she you, she understood it all.
