The History and Evolution of the Modern Animal Communication Movement

Biography:

Communicating with animals telepathically throughout her life, Penelope Smith discovered in 1971 that animals could be relieved of emotional traumas and other problems through the same counseling techniques that helped humans. Known as the Grandmother of Interspecies Telepathic Communication, her visionary work as a pioneer teacher since the 1970s has helped launch the careers of numerous professional animal communicators. She wrote the popular, classic books, Animal Talk, When Animals Speak, and Animals in Spirit. Penelope believes that everyone is born with the power to communicate with other species, and that, although it is long forgotten by most people, it can be regained for the benefit of all beings on Earth https://animaltalk.net

This emphasis on educating people so they can have their own experience of the journey, NOT just the idea of a journey, reminded me of this report on a proactive approach to keeping the world habitable and harmonious. From the article: "Global report provides an alternative to climate breakdown, political extremism and economic tensions"

What a Blessing for Penelope that she can see her life's work popularize world wide in her lifetime. Not all innovators have been able to do that! That, in and of itself, is inspiring!

This area is relatively new to me, but my observations had already convinced me that animals are not "below" us and deserve to be listened to, especially given how many humans are destroying our one home.

"being there in compassion" love this!

Education is always key to advancement...

Penelope teaches her courses on The Shift Network.  If you search her name, you'll find an on demand course for her Basic 7 week program, or you can also sign up to be on the wait list for her next program that begins in August.

I was so thrilled to hear Penelope say just be human as when I heard animals, it was when I was in a state of calmness. All I did was ask. Thank you Penelope and Sandy for sharing. I went to a fair and saw a sheep being sheered. It looked right into my eyes so I said she is making you pretty. The sheep said I DON'T LIKE IT! I told the sheep that the lady was almost done. But the sheep kept yelling. To be honest I wouldn't have liked it either if I was a sheep. Hahaha

The stories I read by you from decades ago are still forefront in my mind, held in amazement.  I'm thinking specifically of your story of the spider who lived in your house. I've always loved the book "Charlotte's Web" but your story, I don't have words to describe.
